Course Requirements:
Regular attendance, active participation, a poster or video presentation, and a term paper (15-20 pages) to be handed in no later than August 1, 2014.

The guest lectures in this seminar are kindly supported by the Freundeskreis FTSK Germersheim e.V.

The field trip to Europa-Park will leave on July 11, 2014, at 06:30 A.M. at the Germersheim train station. We will return on the same day at about 10:00 P.M. The costs for the field trip (including transportation and entrance fees) will be about 45 Euros per person. 

The poster presentations will be exhibited at the Sommerfest.

Inhalt

The goals of this seminar are:
1. to introduce students to the theoretical and methodological concerns of theme park studies 
2. to assist them developing their own individual research project in connection with theme parks
3. to help them prepare a field trip to a theme park and to guide them during field work
4. to assist them putting down the findings of their research in various scholarly formats (poster presentation, video presentation, term paper)
